Example: We have a completed chart and want to assign an existing
macro to that chart. Then, whenever a user clicks on the chart, it will
run the macro. (For example, the macro could trigger an analysis or
bring up additional information.)
1.
Right click the chart and choose Assign Macro.
2.
Select the macro that you want to be associated with
this chart and click OK.
3.
Click away from the chart to de-select it.
4.
Once you've assigned a macro, any time the mouse pointer
moves over the chart, the pointer will change from its normal thick plus sign
to a pointing hand. Clicking anywhere on the chart runs the macro.
5.
If you need to edit the chart, you cannot click to select
it, because that will run the macro. Instead, right click on the chart
and choose Edit Chart Object.
